R8 compound is a moderate friction race compound that can be balanced with R10 compounds as needed for excellent braking control. Can also be used as an HPDE compound where lower friction and heat load is desired such as beginner and novice run groups. R8 compound has lower rotor wear and manageable dust. R8 can be considered for some aggressive street use but dust, noise and rotor wear is expected.
